A pair of Val Saint Lambert clear crystal candle holders, each a twin-arm design: two fluted curved arms rising from a stepped, fan-cut hexagonal base, holding two candles apiece. Belgium.
Val Saint Lambert has cut crystal at Seraing in Belgium since 1826. The stepped fan base and fluted arms belong to the Art Deco taste, where weight and line did the decorating rather than colour. As a pair they set a low, symmetrical light down the middle of a table.
