A Royal Standard teacup and saucer in English bone china. Scattered posies of spring flowers — violets, primrose and harebell in purple, yellow and blue — over a fluted white body with a gold rim. Marked Royal Standard, made in England.
Mixed-posy bone china was the friendly, unmatched end of the English tea table, made to be collected a cup at a time rather than bought as a rigid set. A single cup-and-saucer pair.
