A silver-plated jardinière with repoussé foliage, lion-mask ring handles and lion-paw feet. A rounded cachepot form with a rope-twist rim, made to hold a plant, a bouquet or fruit at the centre of a table.
The lion mask and paw are the old language of grand silver, and a jardinière at this scale earns its keep as a centrepiece — lined with a pot of ferns, filled with hydrangeas, or heaped with lemons.
