A Royal Albert Lavender Rose teacup and saucer in the ladies teacup size. A delicate pattern: small pink roses tied with lilac leaf sprigs and a fine web of brown-gold filigree, on a crisp white ground, with a gold rim and a moulded, gently ribbed Montrose body.
Quieter and more refined than the big-bouquet rose patterns, Lavender Rose reads as classic rather than showy. The cup and saucer carry the original Lavender Rose backstamp. Dates to around the 1960s.
